Since 2005, we’ve provided quality preschool education and childcare to 1700+ children from underprivileged areas. With your support, we can provide education to hundreds more.

QUality education

Early Childhood Development is at the forefront of our focus. During these early years, children form the basis of intelligence, personality, social behaviour and the capacity to learn and nurture oneself as an adult.

Lack of quality education is a serious socio-economic challenge in South Africa. Our Education program ensures a solid educational foundation by providing a comprehensive curriculum that follows the requirements of the Government Education guidelines.

Our centres are places of caring and nurturing, and provide children from less fortunate areas with schooling, meals, uniforms and supplies free of cost to them.

Nutritious Meals

Because many children and families face food insecurity, we offer nutritious meals to support development. Without proper nutrition, children often don’t thrive in school. We provide meals to 1700+ children every day, allowing them to focus and succeed in their education.

To equip students with skills to lead healthy lives, we teach them how to plant and harvest their own vegetables as part of our Tunnel Garden Project. We grow spinach, beetroot, lettuce, onions, pumpkins, carrots and other produce providing our students, families, and community with healthy meals.

Our programs in KZN and Cape Town expand food distribution beyond students, also serving community members in need.

Peer education

Crossroads serves older children and teenagers in both KZN and Cape Town, teaching valuable life skills and hosting mentorship opportunities.

The Crossroads Peer Education Program uses the power of peer pressure in a positive way. It helps young people adopt purpose-driven behaviour and become leaders by equipping them with the knowledge and skills to make healthy choices.

Topics include: goal setting, communication skills, heritage studies, work readiness, self-development, boundary setting and reproductive health all implemented within UNESCO’s recommended guidelines.
